All things seem possible in May.”
- Edwin Way Teale
The Month in Review
It has been that said that April showers bring May flowers. Well, April also showered “Wise Words & Witty Expressions” with four “Meet the Author” events, which provided me with the opportunity to meet some terrific people at:
The Old Bridge, NJ Library, where my book is currently available.
The American Irish Association Woodbridge, NJ chapter who welcomed me warmly and provided me with some great and funny new expressions for my next edition of “Wise Words & Witty Expressions.”
The Town Book Store in Westfield, NJ where I met some of the wonderful members of the Westfield community.
The Metuchen, NJ YMCA who was participating in the national YMCA Community Week program. The Metuchen ”Y” asked me to support their event by doing an “Author Meet and Greet” at their facility.
I have some exciting events coming up this May as well. I will be participating in my first radio broadcast on May 10 on www.blogtalkraido.com’s “Let’s Make it Rain” show from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. ET where I will be discussing how my book became published. If you are going to be up that early, please tune in. I will also be the guest speaker at the Jersey City, NJ Kiwanis meeting on May 13.
Click here to see all of my upcoming events. If you will be in the area during one of them, please stop by and say hi. I would love to have a chance to speak with you!

Don’t forget to check out my website to view my weekly post “Learn the Power of Wise Words & Witty Expressions.” Each Sunday, I share one of the expressions found in my book and discuss it in bit more detail. You can also find my posts on Twitter and Facebook, which I invite you to join me on.
The last four posts on “Learn the Power of Wise Words & Witty Expressions” include:
- It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.
- Consider the source
- Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?
- A good reputation is a very easy thing to lose and a very hard thing to get back.
Don’t Forget to Share with Me Your Favorite “Wise Words & Witty Expressions”
“Wise Words & Witty Expressions” represents the expressions I heard growing up. I would love to hear from you and learn the “Wise Words & Witty Expressions” you remember to help you navigate your way through life’s ups and downs.
Maybe your expressions represent the geographic region of the United States you live in or maybe they are reflective of your ancestry or maybe they are just wise words.
I would love to collect enough expressions from my readers to write a second edition of “Wise Words & Witty Expressions.” Perhaps you will even see your expression in my next book!
